3. Tableau
What is tableau? Tableau is a visual analytics platform which transforms the way we use data to solve problems, thus empowering people and organisations to make the most of their data. Tableau provides users with the most intuitive user experience, putting users first and allowing users to have limitless visual data exploration without interrupting the flow of analysis. An example of a dashboard that can be built on Tableau is shown in the diagram below. It depicts a dataset of customers visiting a store.
From this dashboard, you can see the difference in profit ratio across different states and compare sales across different segments and categories.
Advantages of using Tableau:
It is an excellent data visualisation tool, supporting complex data blending, computations, and even has dashboard creation options.
Fast to create interactive visualisations, accommodating many variables
Easy to use while dealing with large datasets.
Best of all: It is free for students with a student’s license!
